Coins for Community - Public Art Virginia Beach Foundation

A group of residents from the arts, business and government began Public Art Virginia Beach Foundation in December 2012 as an initiative to complement the City’s status as a world-class resort destination with a world-class public art component.

The organization’s current public art project is “The Canoes” (pictured above), which will be located on the pedestrian overlook of the new Lesner Bridge.  This large-scale sculpture by artist Donald Lipski will usher visitors into the beauty and history of the Chesapeake Bay area.

Our coin machines are located at both branches. The machines count coins which you can deposit into your account or get cash back. Best of all, the coin machines take loose change, meaning you’ll never have to roll coin again!

There is a nominal fee for using the coin machines. Members are charged 2% of coin deposit and guest members pay 4% of coin deposit. Rather than keeping the fee income, though, we are matching and donating all collected fees to our Coins for Community partner.
