Coins for Community ~ Virginia Beach Project Lifesaver

Our coin machine partner for the first quarter of 2018 is Virginia Beach Project Lifesaver. By using our coin machines, you can support this nonprofit organization in saving lives!

Project Lifesaver is a national, proactive electronic tracking program used to assist in locating people with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders or individuals with Down's Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder who may become lost and endangered.

All money donated to this organization goes directly to supplies, batteries, transmitters, locating equipment and costs waived for clients. All of its members are volunteers and do not take ANY money. The organization is a 501c3 in the truest definition and will continue to run this way thanks to generous donations and support from the community.

Our coin machines are located at both our Thalia and Princess Anne branches. The machines count coins which you can deposit into your account or get cash back. Best of all, the coin machines take loose change, meaning you’ll never have to roll coin again!

There is a nominal fee for using the coin machines. Members are charged 2% of coin deposit and guest members pay 4% of coin deposit. Rather than keeping the fee income, though, we are matching and donating all collected fees to our Coins for Community partner.
