Beach Municipal FCU Employees Give Back Through Denim for Dollars Program

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – October 2026 – Beach Municipal Federal Credit Union employees continue to demonstrate their commitment to the community through the Credit Union’s Denim for Dollars program, supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of people and animals.

Through the program, employees contribute a small donation in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans on designated days, with all proceeds benefiting local charities and community initiatives. Employees select organizations whose missions align with the Credit Union’s commitment to serving others.

In the third quarter of 2026, Beach Municipal employees selected Spike’s K9 Fund and Everheld, formerly known as Connect With a Wish, as Denim for Dollars recipients.

Based in Virginia Beach, Spike’s K9 Fund works to protect and support working dogs serving in law enforcement, the military, search and rescue, and other public safety roles. Donations help provide essential protective equipment, critical medical care, and specialized training to help keep these hardworking K-9s safe, healthy, and ready to serve.

Everheld supports children and young adults connected to foster care throughout Hampton Roads. Formerly known as Connect With a Wish, the organization provides resources, programs, and meaningful opportunities to help young people feel supported and connected while building brighter, more stable futures. Its programs address a range of needs, from clothing and essential supplies to birthday celebrations and support for young adults transitioning toward independence. The donation will go towards the purchase of coats for their upcoming coat drive.
