About Beach Municipal Federal Credit Union  

We Are Beach Municipal FCU.

Beach Municipal Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative proudly serving the Virginia Beach municipal and public school community since 1970.

Our credit union was founded by ten City of Virginia Beach employees who wanted to create a safe, trusted place for people to save and borrow money. What began as a small, employee-led effort has grown into a full-service financial institution serving generations of members — while staying true to the values of service and care that defined us from the very beginning.

Today, we continue to grow in assets, services, and technology, but our focus remains the same: providing meaningful financial resources, tools, and guidance to help our members achieve long-term financial prosperity.

Who We Serve

Membership at Beach Municipal FCU is open to:

• Employees and retirees of the City of Virginia Beach

• Employees and retirees of Virginia Beach City Public Schools

• Eligible volunteers and appointed board or commission members

• Immediate family members of eligible individuals

Once you become a member, you’re a member for life — even if your career, employer, or location changes.

Our members serve the community every day as law enforcement officers, public works mechanics, school teachers, waste management operators, and countless other essential roles.
