Need to make a credit card payment?

Beach Municipal FCU credit card payments are due on the 12th of each month. There are several ways to make your payment.

Electronically — The easiest way to make a payment is through Virtual Branch Home Banking or the Mobile Banking App. Simply select the Beach Municipal FCU account you want to use and transfer the payment to your credit card. You can also schedule future and recurring transfers to ensure that your payments are always made on time.

Mail — Payments may be mailed to Beach Municipal FCU, 4164 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23452.

By Phone — Call us at 757.333.7787 during regular business hours. 

In-person — Visit one of our branches.

How does the Take Charge Secured Mastercard® work?

A secured card works just like a traditional credit card. The difference is that it requires a cash deposit, which determines the credit limit and acts as collateral for the card. 

For example, if you have $500 in your Savings Account, you can apply for a secured credit card with a $500 limit. We’ll place a “hold” on these funds for as long as the secured card is open. You won’t be able to access or spend the $500, but the money in your account will continue to earn dividends. Every month, your information will be reported to the credit bureaus. The better you manage your credit card spending and payments, the more your credit improves!

With time, as you show responsible credit card use, you will be eligible to apply for a traditional unsecured credit card, which does not require a security deposit.

Do you have travel plans?

Planning a trip? Set up a travel plan to ensure your credit and debit cards are ready to go! If we are unaware of your travel plans and suspicious out-of-state activity appears on your account, your card may be blocked and become unusable. 

Simply log in to the Mobile Banking App, select the My Cards icon, and enter your travel information in the Manage Travel Plans section.  You can also send us a message through Virtual Branch Home Banking or by calling our Card Services Department at 757.416.6161

Additionally, please ensure your contact information is up-to-date in case we need to verify transactions. 

FOREIGN TRAVEL: Due to an increase in fraudulent activity, all foreign Debit and Credit transactions and online card purchases are blocked. Therefore Debit or Credit Cards will not work at ATMs or stores outside of the United States unless a temporary exemption is applied.

Credit Life and Credit Disability Insurance

With Credit Life and Credit Disability coverage, you’ll have peace of mind knowing you can:

  • Reduce your financial burden.
  • Protect your income, your collateral and your credit rating.
  • Receive coverage at home and at work.

While credit insurance is not required to obtain a loan, the policies will lessen the financial burden on your family. In the event of your death, Credit Life Insurance pays the balance of your loan. Credit Disability Insurance makes your loan payments, up to the policy maximum, if you were to become disabled by a covered sickness or accident.
